Six services. All of them end with a signed manifest, because that is the part that keeps you out of trouble.
Needles, syringes, lancets, blades and lancet devices. We supply UN-approved puncture-resistant containers in 1L, 5L, 10L and 25L, and exchange them full-for-clean on your collection day. Containers are never emptied on site — the sealed container goes, a clean one stays.
Blood-soaked dressings, contaminated disposables, gloves and anything that has been in contact with body fluids. Collected in correctly coloured, correctly marked liners so that segregation happens at source rather than being sorted out later, which is not permitted anyway.
Expired and unused medication, including scheduled substances. These go for certified destruction and are documented separately from your clinical streams, because a pharmacy inspection asks different questions to a waste inspection.
Weekly, fortnightly or monthly. You get a fixed day rather than a vague window, and a call before we arrive. If we are going to be late you will hear it from us first, which is not the industry norm.
A signed manifest for every collection and a certificate of destruction filed against it. Records are retained so that when someone asks for eighteen months of history, it exists and can be produced.
Spills, a fuller bin than expected, or an inspection you were not warned about. Call and we will tell you honestly when we can be there — usually same day within Pretoria.
Anybody with a bakkie can move a bin. What separates a licensed transporter from a man with a bakkie is that at the end of it you hold a document proving the waste left your premises legally, went to a facility permitted to accept it, and was destroyed.
Under the Waste Classification and Management Regulations a waste manifest has to accompany hazardous waste from the point of generation to the facility that treats it. The generator completes their section, we complete ours, and the treatment facility completes theirs. Ours has to reach you before the waste leaves your premises, not afterwards.
That is why we will not collect without one, and why we would rather delay a collection by a day than take a load off you undocumented. It protects you more than it protects us.
Send us a photo of what you are currently throwing away and we will tell you honestly whether you need us, and what it would cost.
