How we collect, use, retain and protect your personal information under the Protection of Personal Information Act, Act 4 of 2013.
Personal information you provide when requesting a quote or service: your name, business name, contact number, email address, physical address, and details of your waste management requirements.
Solely to respond to enquiries, provide collection and transport services, issue compliant documentation such as manifests and certificates, process billing, and meet our legal obligations under NEMWA and related legislation.
Waste transport records and manifests are retained for a minimum of five years as required by the National Environmental Management: Waste Act, after which personal information is securely deleted unless a longer period is required by law.
We never sell your personal information. It is shared only where necessary with licensed treatment and disposal facilities in order to complete the waste management chain, or where required by law or a regulatory authority.
Under POPIA you may access the personal information we hold about you, request correction or deletion, and object to processing. To exercise these rights, contact our Information Officer at info@mediwastesolutions.co.za.
